Bearings are essential components in the machinery industry, but do you know how they're installed?
In the bearing industry, the process of placing the steel balls between the inner and outer rings is called "fitting"

Fitting steps:
1. Prepare the inner and outer rings, with the inner ring positioned to one side.
2. Insert the steel balls.
3. Separate the balls, evenly separating them using a ball separator with small claws.
4. Install the retainer and rivet the two retainer pieces together.
In actual production, there are also fully packed bearings, which typically have a ball-filling notch. These are less commonly used: You'll see a ball-filling notch on one side, through which the steel balls are inserted. However, this type of bearing has a lower axial load capacity and is therefore less commonly used.
